Do I need popup blocker and anti-spam program?

Do I need a popup blocker and antispam program?

I seem to have no problems with popups or a lot of spam.

I mostly use Yahoo mail for my e-mail.

Question about a virus and I need a good free spyware/virus removal program?

I’m pretty positive I just got a virus or spyware. My net goes real slow, I keep getting popups, and somehow it changes my google searches. I see in m task manager a ew weird things runing, like chkntfs.exe, and v6.exe. What is a good FREE spyware removal? Last time I used what was supposed to be a good free one, it deleted a system file so I’m wary. And I can’t search google because this thing won’t let me. Help please!!
